Academics

Assembly
The Morning Assembly starts at 7:45 a.m. All students must compulsorily be on time to attend the Assembly otherwise they will be detained in the entry area. During Assembly the students sit for Meditation for 4 minutes. This is very essential for peace of mind and concentration. Then follows the School Prayer, the School Song and an address by our school Administrator. The Prefects and Captains also make important announcements.

Break Time
Parents are expected to supply a well balanced and nourishing tiffin along with a place mat, a towel or a large napkin every day to their wards so that they can eat tiffin at their desk.

Attendance
Regular attendance is very essential for every student. Percentage of attendance will be taken into consideration while granting promotion or awarding prizes. No pupil will leave the school premises during school hours without the prior permission of the school authorities.

Absence
The reason for absence has to be noted in the school diary, signed by parents/guardians and handed over to the class teacher. In case of absence due to sickness for three days and above a doctor’s certificate must be accompanied with an application.

School Diary
Every student must possess a school diary which should be brought to school daily. Students are to note down the homeworks, test dates, and important details in their school diary. Parents must check the diary regularly and note the teacher′s remarks etc. Parents are expected to go through the Rules and Regulations, Examination Routine and Holiday List given in the diary.

Home Assignment

Homework
Students are supposed to note down the homework given and do the same regularly. Parents/guardians are requested to see that their wards give proper attention to preparation of homework. If parents are able to supervise at home, private tutors may not be necessary.

Preparation for Tests
The students are given ample time to prepare for the Unit Test and the Terminal Examinations. The syllabus for the tests are given well in advance. Worksheets are also given so that the parents get an idea of their ward's progress. Parents should check these from time to time.

Project Work
Class I – IX are guided by their respective class teachers to complete two Projects in an academic year. Parents can guide the students in the Project Work but maximum efforts must be put in by the students themselves.

Grievances

The administrator, Mr. P.B. Dasani is in charge of the school administration. He maintains status quo among teachers, students and the management. He holds monthly meetings with the teachers to get updated with the school’s activities, progress and proper functioning. Any grievance by students, teachers and parents can be brought to the notice of the Administrator.

Primary Level

(Classes I –IV)

The medium of instruction is English.
The subjects offered are:
1st Language : English
2nd Language : Hindi
3rd Language : Bengali (for Class III & IV)
Other subjects are Arithmetic, Science, Geography, EVS, History, Computer, Physical training and Library features are also provided. Value Education and General Knowledge classes are held on a regular basis to make students aware of today’s world.

Secondary Level

Classes V–VIII


The school is recognized by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and follows its curriculam.
The medium of instruction is English. The subjects offered are : Classes V today’s VIII :
1st Language : English
2nd Language : Hindi
3rd Language : Bengali

Compulsory Subjects are Mathematics, Physical Science, Life Science, History and Geography, Computer, Physical Education, Library, Value Education are provided on a regular basis.

Classes IX–X

1st Language : Hindi
2nd Language : English
Additional Subject : Computer

Compulsory Subjects are Mathematics, Physical Science, Life Science, History and Geography, Computer, Physical Education, Library and Value Education and General Knowledge. The school prepares the students of Class X accordingly to appear for the Madhyamik Examination.
