Interact Club

Programmes

The Interact Club was formed in 2000 for all round development. It is the club "of the students; by the students; for the students." Students from Class VIII onwards have to compulsorily become the member of the Interact Club. The list of activities of this club is endless. Through our various social activities we have not only won accolades but many "hearts" too. This club is involved in cleanliness drive, free health camps, mass feeding (on Saturdays), literacy programme for street children etc.

Cleanliness

Regular inspection is done in our neighbourhood to find out the grievances which are then taken care of one by one. A urinal is maintained on a monthly basis at Sudder Street. Students also maintain cleanliness within our school campus. Railing paintings and care of plants in the vicinity of our school is done by our students.

Health Programmes

Every year health camps are held in the school campus for Malaria check-up, Thalassaemia Awareness, Blood Donation, Eye Camp and Cardio Vascular Check-ups. Free consultation are provided by eminent doctors. A number of cataract operations to the needy has been sponsored by the school. Our school has recently adopted a village named "Ghoshpur" and provided free stationary items, blankets, health check-ups to the villagers. The Interact Club has recently started a "Charitable Dispensary" for the poor where free consultation is provided by efficient doctor. Free medicines are also given for common ailments. The students have been given various duties in order to make them aware of health issues. Thus our school believes in creating responsible citizens who can "feel and heal". Our school is the proud recipient of a number of awards in "Better Kokata Contest" and in "The Telegraph School Awards for Excellence".
